Well, I didn't run yesterday. I was supposed to do 3 runs of 3 miles each this week, to get ready for that 10 mile run on saturday. Oops. So, I wasn't quite up to 6 today, but I decided 5 should be ok. Then I'll either skip that one little mile extra for the week and call it good, or else I'll do it on sunday as a light and easy run the day after the 10 miler (just get the blood pumping, nothing more).
Actually today's run was really nice in many ways. I ran on the treadmill since it was so blasted hot outside. But, I got the 5 miles done in 57 minutes (5 minutes walking warmup and 3 or so walking cooldown, so 8 minutes walking). I felt really good, especially when I remembered back to when I started this running program and 5 miles on the treadmill were really difficult.
Later in the evening I also did a short martial arts workout, almost the only one in a week. (Class was cancelled tonight).
