Are you both prepared for birth and postpartum?

There's so much to do to prepare for your new baby. Researching baby gear, prepping the nursery, getting your maternity leave squared away... the to-do lists are overwhelming!

You've probably heard horror stories about difficult births and the intensity of postpartum, but how can you prepare for something you've never experienced before?

Then there's your partner. He wants to be involved but is clueless where to begin. You're probably wondering if he will know how to support you (and if you will even know what you need from him).

You need a plan.

You need a strategy if you want this huge transition in your life to go smoothly.

With our thorough and detailed planner, you don't have to worry about missing anything. In minutes, you'll have an organized plan for your labor and postpartum.

You need to be on the same page.

If you're like most moms, you want you partner involved during labor and carrying an equal load during postpartum. Unfortunately, most moms don't know how to talk about these desires and they lack practical tools to empower their partner.

We've done the work for you.

Our planner will walk you and your partner through everything you need to think about before your birth and baby arrive so you're ready to birth and parent as a team.

Birth is just the beginning.

Don't make the mistake we see too many couples make: they focus so much on the birth, but that's only one moment in time. Postpartum is a very difficult period for so many couples who didn't plan ahead.

That's why planning for postpartum is just as - or even more - important for you to have peace of mind.

MEET @BALANCED.BIRTH.COUPLE

We are Jessica and Ben Lagrone and we teach couples about birth and babies. Jessica is a certified childbirth educator and doula, and Ben is an education specialist and dad coach.

We had three girls in four years (whew!) and experienced everything from an unmedicated birth, a c-section, difficult postpartum, fussy babies and anxiety about our decisions. We learned that childbirth and parenthood is unpredictable, but feeling informed and supported are keys to a positive and joyful experience.

Our resources empower couples to approach parenthood from a balanced perspective. We make complicated topics simple so you're armed with the information needed to make decisions with confidence.

In everything we teach, we include partners 100% (not as an add-on at the end) because they deserve (and want) to be just as informed as moms. Our unique couples-focused resources will prepare you both together so you become a birth and parenting team.

"The Birth and Postpartum Planner helped us to discover what each of our expectations were for the day and what happened afterwards. We are now giving each other grace! It helped us prepare for birth and postpartum by giving us lots of different options and things to think of ahead of time. It's all laid out. Especially as first time parents it’s a terrific guide."

"We loved that the planners have a clear outline, ability to check boxes instead of write things out. We liked that there are separate places for mom and partner."

-- Celeste & Nathan

"I like that the planners are super thorough and really walks you through, step-by-step, everything you may need to have on hand to get through birth and the initial postpartum. It helps set you up for success. It’s really had us sit together and think and discuss what our hopes and goals are for not just the birth but what comes after. It helps me feel more supported and my husband feels more confident in what he can do to support me."
